Finding Peace Amidst Chaos: My Journey with Anxiety

Hey there, lovely readers! Today, I want to share with you a deeply personal journey that has shaped who I am today. My name is Anabel, and I've traversed through life's highs and lows, from the vibrant streets of Venezuela to the tremendous landscape of Lebanon. But amidst all the chaos, there's one battle that I never expected to face: anxiety.

Growing up, I never imagined that anxiety would become a constant companion in my life. However as I navigated through the challenges of relocating to Lebanon due to the crisis in my homeland, I found myself overwhelmed by feelings of fear and uncertainty. It wasn't long before these emotions manifested into panic attacks, leaving me terrified.

The first time it happened, I was convinced that I was experiencing a severe heart condition. My heart raced reaching up to 190 beats per minute, and I was rushed to the hospital multiple times. It wasn't until a casual conversation with a friend that I stumbled upon the realization that these episodes were not physical ailments, but symptoms of anxiety attacks.

Armed with this new understanding, I decided to seek help from a professional. That's when I received the diagnosis of generalized anxiety disorder. While the news initially felt like a heavy burden to bear, it also marked the beginning of my journey toward healing and self-discovery.

With the guidance of my therapist, I embarked on a holistic treatment plan that combined medication with regular psychology sessions. It was during these sessions that I learned invaluable coping mechanisms, including the power of mindfulness and the importance of deep breathing techniques in alleviating stress and anxiety.

But the real turning point in my journey came when I stumbled upon a simple yet profound tool that would change the game for me: a breathing necklace.
